A Level Syllabus and the New A Level Curriculum
Uganda has introduced a new A Level curriculum, and the 2026 UACE examinations follow the new format. Before you rely on any set of A Level notes, compare it with the current syllabus for your subject:
- New A Level syllabus books for S5 and S6
- Uganda’s A Level abridged curriculum explained
- S5 Entrepreneurship syllabus breakdown and S6 Entrepreneurship syllabus breakdown
How to Use A Level Notes Effectively
- Read before class. Skim the notes for the next lesson so the teacher’s explanation makes more sense.
- Make your own summary. A Level topics are long. Turn each topic into one or two pages of key points, diagrams and formulae.
- Practise essays and calculations. Use A Level seminar questions and scoring guides to apply what you have read.
- Test yourself with past papers. Our UACE past papers show how examiners ask about each topic.
- Revise in cycles. Return to S5 topics during S6 so nothing is forgotten before UACE.
