What is a keyboard Shortcut?
A keyboard shortcut is one or more keys used to perform a menu function or other common functions in a program or operating system.
The keys that are meant to be pressed at the same time are joined by a + in written text. For example, Ctrl+S means you should press the Ctrl and S keys at the same time to save .
Commonly Used Keyboard Shortcuts
- Ctrl+ Z : Undoes the last action
- Ctrl + Y: Redoes the last thing undone
- Crtl + O open file or document
- Crtl + S : saves a file or document
- Ctrl + W : close active window or file. Note at times Alt + F4 does the same thing
