Required:

Using Microsoft Excel, perform the following tasks:

  1. Enter the above information into a spreadsheet.

  2. Calculate the Lunch Allowance for each employee, given that it is 22% of their basic salary.

  3. Calculate the Housing Allowance, which is 62% of the lunch allowance.

  4. Add a Transport Allowance of 59,000 UGX for all employees.

  5. Compute the Gross Pay for each employee.

    (Gross Pay = Basic Salary + Lunch Allowance + Housing Allowance + Transport Allowance)

  6. Calculate PAYE as 2.5% of the Basic Salary.

  7. Compute the NSSF (National Social Security Fund) as 18% of the Gross Pay.

  8. Determine the Net Pay for each employee.

    (Net Pay = Gross Pay – PAYE – NSSF)

  9. Plot a Line Graph of Net Pay against Basic Salary on Worksheet 2.

  10. Save your work on the desktop using your Name  as the file name.

The following students sat for their Term Two examinations in Mathematics (Mat), Computer Studies (Comp), and Entrepreneurship (Ent), and obtained the marks shown below:

Required:

Using Microsoft Excel, perform the following tasks:

  1. Enter the above data into a spreadsheet. Ensure all names are in Column A.

  2. Compute the Total Marks for each student using a formula, and display them in Column E.

  3. Sort the data in Column E (Total Marks) in descending order (from highest to lowest).

  4. Determine how many students scored a D1 in Mathematics, given that a D1 is awarded at 75% and above.

  5. Format the titles in Columns A, B, C, D, and E so that the text is displayed in an orientation of 45° (diagonal).

  6. Give your work a professional appearance by applying suitable formatting (borders, bold headings, and consistent alignment).

  7. Plot a Bar or Column Graph showing each student’s marks in the three subjects.

    Your graph should have an appropriate title, labeled axes, and a legend.

  8. Insert a Header containing your name.

  9. Save your work as “Yourname Scores” and print your worksheet.
