2026 UACE Examination Timetable UCE Timetable 2026

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has officially released the second draft of the 2026 UCE and UACE examination timetables and invited all Heads of UCE/UACE Examination Centres to review the updated schedules and submit their comments before the final timetables are produced.

This follows the earlier draft released in July, with the latest version incorporating ongoing reviews and feedback from examination centres across the country.

Areas UNEB Wants Centres to Review

UNEB has requested schools to carefully examine the draft timetables and provide comments on, but not limited to, the following:

  • Duration of the various examination papers.
  • Subjects or papers that may have been inadvertently omitted or included.
  • Subjects or papers that may have been repeated.
  • Poor clustering of subjects or papers within the same examination session that may cause hardship to candidates.
  • Clashes involving Science and ICT practical examinations.
  • Any other amendments considered necessary to improve the timetable.

Where poor clustering is identified, centres are encouraged to recommend the most suitable alternative date(s) instead of merely highlighting the issue.

This Is Still a Draft Timetable

Candidates, parents, and teachers should note that the released timetable is still a draft and not the final examination timetable.

Changes may still be made after UNEB receives and reviews comments from examination centres. The final timetable will only be published after the consultation process is complete.

Students are therefore advised to use the current draft for planning purposes only and continue checking for official updates.

What’s New in the Second Draft?

Compared to the first draft, the second version provides another opportunity for schools to identify:

  • Missing or duplicated examination papers.
  • Examination scheduling conflicts.
  • Practical paper clashes.
  • Poor subject clustering.
  • Other issues that may affect the smooth conduct of examinations.

The revised consultation period also gives examination centres additional time to submit recommendations before UNEB releases the final official timetable.

What Happens Next?

After 31st July 2026, UNEB will review all submissions from examination centres. If no further comments are received by the deadline, the Board will proceed to produce and circulate the final 2026 UCE and UACE examination timetables.
