Papers Done Before the Main UACE Timetable

Some practical and oral papers are not on the main UACE timetable 2026. UNEB arranges them separately and visiting examiners conduct them on dates before 6th November 2026. These are:

  • P330/2 Oral French, P340/2 German Orals, P350/2 Latin, P370/2 Arabic, P372/2 Chinese
  • P620/2 Music Practical
  • P630/2 Clothing and Textiles and P640/2 Foods and Nutrition
  • P730/2 Woodwork and P740/2 Metalwork

UNEB also notes that Fine Art P615/1 and P615/2 will be issued at 12:00 p.m. on the day of the examination so that specimens can be set up.

Important UNEB Rules on the UACE 2026 Timetable

The general instructions on the UACE timetable 2026 explain how schools should organise exam sessions:

  1. Papers in the same period start at the same time. If a candidate has two papers in the same session, the second paper follows the first after a short break of no more than 20 minutes.
  2. Art papers are given daytime periods.
  3. No candidate may take more than one of the papers bracketed together, such as the local language papers.
  4. Candidates are advised to take either a Science or an Arts combination.
  5. For Subsidiary ICT practicals (S850/2 and S850/3), the 2 hours 30 minutes include the time for printing your work. No printing is allowed after time is up, so save and print early.

Directions to UACE Candidates (Summary)

UNEB attaches “Directions to Candidates” to the UACE timetable 2026, and candidates are assumed to have read them. The key points are:

  • Be at the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the paper starts.
  • A candidate who arrives 15 minutes or more late will not be allowed to sit that paper.
  • You will be checked at the entrance, including pockets, shoes and body.
  • Do not write in pencil except for diagrams and graphs. Answers in pencil will not be marked.
  • Answer only the number of questions the rubric asks for. Extra answers are not marked.
  • Write the same names, random number and personal number on every answer booklet. Different names on different papers means no results.
  • Sit only the papers you registered for, at the centre where you registered.
  • Mobile phones and other electronic devices are not allowed in or around the examination room.
  • Do not share calculators, mathematical tables, rulers or pens during the exam.

UNEB Warning on Exam Malpractice

UNEB is clear that involvement in malpractice in one paper leads to the cancellation of results for the whole examination. Malpractice includes bringing unauthorised materials, copying, getting help from teachers, prior knowledge of questions, impersonation, tearing answer booklets, submitting more than one script, and having a phone in the exam room. Do not risk two years of A-Level work.

To report malpractice, contact the Executive Director, UNEB, P.O. Box 7066 Kampala, email [email protected], or call the toll-free lines 0800211077 and 0800111427. You can also visit the official UNEB website for updates.

How to Check UACE 2026 Results by SMS

When results are released, you can check them on your phone. Type UACE, leave a space, type your index number with no spaces, and send to 6600. For example: UACE U2052/554. UNEB will announce the supported networks when the results are released.

Revise Smarter With the UACE Timetable 2026

Now that you know your dates, turn the timetable into a revision plan. Start with the papers that come first (History, Principal Mathematics, Economics and Chemistry Practical in the first week), and use the gaps between papers for timed past paper practice.
