The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has issued the first draft timetable for the 2026 UCE and UACE examinations, giving Heads of Examination Centres until 20th July 2026 to review and submit feedback before the final version is published.

What UNEB Is Asking Centres to Review

According to the circular, comments on the draft timetable should cover:

  • Duration of the various papers
  • Subjects/papers that may have been accidentally omitted or duplicated
  • Poor clustering of subjects or papers within a session that could create hardship for candidates
  • Clashes between Science and ICT practical papers
  • Any other adjustments centres consider necessary to improve the timetable

Where poor clustering is identified, UNEB has specifically asked centres to propose the most suitable alternative date(s) rather than simply flagging the issue.

This Is a Draft, Not the Final Timetable

It’s worth being clear on this: the schedule below (or linked) is a first draft, open for correction. Dates, subject pairings, and session clustering may still change before UNEB releases the final version. Students and parents should treat this as an early look at the likely structure – not confirmed exam dates – until UNEB circulates the finalized timetable.
